Show your creativity

We celebrate creativity in every form, from low-level code magic to pixel-perfect artwork and music that pushes classic and modern hardware to its limits.
Our competitions cover a wide range of disciplines, inviting both newcomers and experienced sceners to share their work with the community.
Whether you're crafting graphics, composing music, designing a game or building a full demo, there's a category for you.

View rules and information

Pure characters, pure style

From text-mode wizardry to PETSCII madness - how far can you push?

Where pixels obey - or don’t

Oldschool discipline meets modern attitude. One pixel off? We’ll notice.

If it runs and it’s fun, it counts

Bring your gameplay, your weird ideas - or just break the rules entirely.

Patterns, modules, total control

Make those channels dance - XOR the snare if you have to.

Rastertiming as a lifestyle

SID, VIC-II and raw determination - prove the old breadbox still owns the room.

Copper, Blitter, Attitude.

Make Paula sing, bend the copperlist - and remind everyone who invented cool.

4 kilobytes. Zero excuses

No assets, no mercy - just math, code, and pure scene flexing.

Uncapped creativity & framerate

Your playground for everything too big, too loud, or too wild for any other category.

“In Rome, history was carved in stone. In the demoscene, it's carved in code and pixels, and both forms endure in unexpected ways”

Location

FUSOLAB 2.0

Viale della Bella Villa, 94 - Rome, Italy

Our party doesn't take place just anywhere - it's hosted by Fusolab 2.0, a beating heart of Rome's creative and cultural scene.
For years, Fusolab has transformed its neighbourhood and its spaces into stages for music, art, workshops and new media.
It is a place where social openness meets digital experimentation, where community connects with visual culture. A space made for everyone who plays with code, pixels and beats.

Getting there

  • FusoLab is conveniently located just in front of METRO C (green line) - “Alessandrino” station. This is Rome's newest line that will conveniently connect you directly to landmark locations such as the Coliseum
  • If you travel from abroad, plane is the most convenient way to get to Rome. The Leonard Da Vinci / Fiumicino international airport (FCO) is a modern and organized hub, fully equipped with CT Scanners so you can load a few Limoncello bottles in your carry-on bag. A direct train will take you to Termini station downtown, and from there you can take a Metro to your destination.
  • Coming by car is also a good option. FusoLab provides free parking in a multi-story parking lot.
  • It could be a great opportunity to travel with family or other loved ones, plus enjoy the party and live acts. The extra Friday events could be an additional opportunity to enjoy Rome together.

Additional information on the facilities and area

  • The party place is adjacent to a multi-story parking lot that you can use free of charge
  • A big supermarket and shopping mall are also part of the structure, other shops are located in the area
  • Tables, chairs, power sockets, WiFi and other standard party equipment will be avaialbe. Please make sure to bring your own power adapters or cables if you need specific ones.
  • The party place will be equipped with a bar/snack desk and restaurants
  • Sleeping accommodation is also provided for free, see the specific section below for details

Accommodation

  • The party location will provide free access to sleeping areas and showers
  • Bring your sleeping bag and accessories!
  • Additionally, we will provide deals with hospitality structures nearby (stay tuned!)

Getting around

Info on how to get around in Rome, where to stay and eat, etc.

Public transport:
  • Getting around in Rome is actually pretty easy and safe. Being a large city, general safety rules apply: hold on to your belongings when in crowded places (public transport first and foremost), don’t talk to solicitors (nobody is actually going to ask you for directions in 2026!) and be sure to enjoy your stay! We are chill and most people speak English.
  • Generally prefer metro/trains as they are pretty reliable. Map of Metro and trains here.
  • Public transport is ticketless: just swipe your contactless credit card or use your phone with Apple Pay or similar apps to access. Traditional paper tickets are also still available to buy at the stations.
  • UBER is fully operational and legal in Rome. Generally prefer using Apps rather than hiking taxis in the street.
  • Electric bikes and scooters are also available, such as LIME, Dott, Bird, and more. Please pay attention when riding in the streets.
